Often beginning to read a classic may seem daunting and unappealing, while mostly it is due to having a wrong start that leads you into feeling like classics are too complex and daunting, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that classics are daunting. However, from what I have seen, most of the time people who start to read classics don't enjoy them due to reaching a point in which they feel like the writing is too complex and complicated before they can make it to chapter 3, while this can be true, in many cases often the people that reach up to these points are the ones who picked the first book that came in hand rather than easing their way into reading classics from simple to more complex.

Thus, here are 10 classics that everyone should read to ease their way into the world of classics.

  • 1. THE HOBBIT

304 pages

  • 2. CHRISTMAS CAROL

104 pages

  • 3. ANNE OF GREEN GABLES

426 pages

  • 4. TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD

336 pages

  • 5. LITTLE WOMEN

280 pages

  • 6. ANIMAL FARM

112 pages

  • 7. OF MICE AND MEN

120 pages

  • 8. JANE EYRE

624 pages

  • 9. THE METAMORPHOSIS

64 pages

  • 10. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

496 pages

Writer's note: I would like to also add that the page counts that I added can differ in different editions or publications of the classics.

Also while the page numbers of each classic added to this post are quite different from one and other, all of the books that are mentioned in this post are mostly written in a language that is easier to understand and can be a great way to start.

Thus, I hope you can find one that will catch your attention and try it out.

Sincerely, Duru.
